WHO AM I?

My name’s Jess, a fitness & rehab professional on a mission to help women become strong, healthy, & empowered beings by cultivating an incredible relationship with their body, fitness & nutrition. Originally from southern Maine, I latched onto fitness as my “moving meditation”. I got nationally certified as a Personal Trainer in 2010, in addition to becoming a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in 2012. Bridging the gap between training and rehab opens up new opportunities for virtually any population, and affords a novel appreciation for our body’s ability to heal, progress, and move.

WHAT I DO.

From an outside perspective, I help women learn to lift heavy things & eat nutritious food in a way that doesn’t drive them crazy. But on a much deeper level, I help women fall in love with their bodies through the power of movement & good food.

I currently serve my community by treating a myriad of patients in physical therapy, training with my local fitness coaching clients in the Orlando area, and serving my online tribe of women with customized health & empowerment coaching.

WHY I DO IT.

In the most simplest form: I have something really important I feel I need to share. You know that burning desire inside of you that says, “YOU NEED TO DO THIS?” The one you truly can’t ignore? Yeah, that’s why I do this.

To get more specific, I do what I do because it’s extremely rewarding to help clients release old beliefs, reach their optimal potential, and do so in a way that they never thought was capable.

WHAT WE STAND BEHIND:

Indulgent Fitness stands behind the belief that physical movement is a gift to give back to ourselves. We stand behind the belief that we don’t have to dread exercise, and we don’t have to constantly rely on willpower to get us moving. We begin to find pleasure through movement

Exercise is often seen as a necessity to build a desired physique or to stay healthy. It’s often seen as a should rather than a want. If we’re engaging in exercise & movement out of love & gratitude for ourselves and our abilities, it becomes a want. When we start to see movement as an opportunity to make ourselves better, stronger, and more capable human beings, it becomes an integral part of our lives without having to force it. It becomes our indulgence.
